The 918 RSR will be powered by the same 911 GT3 R Hybrid so will have 563bhp from the 6.2V8 (which revs to 10,300rpm!) and the rest from two electric motors on the front wheels – total power 767bhp – there is also a boost button for up to 8 seconds of extra power from the stored braking energy silimar to KERS in a F1 car.
